Vietnamese American Council - Hoi Viet My

The Vietnamese American Council (VAC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt agency established in 1982. Our mission is to promote the social, economic and cultural advancement of the Vietnamese American Community to the American society at large and vice versa, to contribute to the harmony of the mainstream while maintaining the Vietnamese cultural heritage, to assist and to help the elderly, the adult, the youth with very low income.

One of our proudest moment has been the ability to assist more than 10,000 Vietnamese to become US citizens since 1994 and translated bilingual voter's brochures for county of Santa Clara so that they can read candidate statements in both English and Vietnamese and to improve their reading skills at the same time. Other Vietnamese agencies have followed our footstep and also provided citizenship programs since then to all new immigrant and not just Vietnamese.
